  • NCIG Passive Network Upgrade

    The Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group (NCIG) Coal Terminals in the port of Newcastle are an integral part of Australia’s coal supply chain. The site’s shiploader machines have an average ship loading capacity of 10,500 tonnes per hour and peak loading capacity of 12,500 tonnes per hour to accommodate continuing loading (NCIG, 2013). As coal mines across NSW increased productivity, NCIG could see that the ship loading capacity would hold the company back if expansion did not occur.

  • Intelligent Transport Essentials - Liverpool Busway

    The Liverpool-Parramatta T-way is a designated bus way in the western suburbs of Sydney, Australia. The 31km bus way connects the major regional centres of Liverpool and Parramatta. The backbone fibre network along the T-Way is the communications pathway for the Intelligent Transport System (ITS)  and includes dynamic signage, IP CCTV and the Traffic Management System. When it came time to increase the network capacity; telecommunications design, construction and maintenance contractor Visionstream was brought in to make it happen.

The Origin-led Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) Project awarded Queensland-based and privately owned, Hutchinson Builders a $51.7 million contract to provide 700 units to house mining personnel at the Condabri and Reedy Creek gas fields near Miles and Wallumbilla.

  • Cabling the CLEM7

    The 6.8km Clem7 Tunnel is one of the largest infrastructure projects ever to be undertaken in Qld. More than 250 cameras, optical fibre equal to 23 times the length of the tunnel and a state of the art system of cables was designed to isolate potential problems, enabling continuity of traffic communication via signals, speed signs, warnings and other messaging without interruption.
