Introducing_Moxa W5340 HSDPA
Madison is pleased to announce our new Moxa ioLogik W5340 Active GPRS I/O. The
ioLogik W5340 comes with 4 AIs, 8 DIOs, and 2 relay outputs and is Moxa’s first
Active Ethernet I/O that uses GPRS communication technology. The ioLogik W5340
allows for a wider coverage area and is perfectly suited for hard-to-wire
locations for remote monitoring and alarm applications, such as unmanned site
monitoring, riverside monitoring, and pipeline monitoring.
The ioLogik W5340 Active GPRS I/O and Moxa’s Active OPC Server make it
easy to create a remote monitoring and alarm system in GPRS dynamic IP
environments. Remote ioLogik W5340 units will automatically establish
communications with an Active OPC Server using a fixed IP.
The Active OPC
Server will then receive and register the ioLogik W5340’s IP address, and will also receive and record
tag updates. Because the ioLogik W5340 supports Moxa’s powerful Active OPC
Server, it can be easily integrated with your SCADA system. In addition to
supporting the standard OPC protocol, Moxa’s Active OPC Server with non-polling
architecture also offers active (or “push”) communications between Moxa’s
ioLogik series of Active GPRS I/O products and HMI/SCADA systems with instant
I/O status.
The ioLogik W5340 features many powerful functions, such as power saving,
data logging, active alarm message with real-time stamp including SMS, SNMP
Trap, TCP, and email, making it the best choice for GPRS remote monitoring and
alarm systems.
