Introduction

The Axis 2400/Dotworkz 4 Channel Video Server delivers extremely high quality Motion-JPEG images with a frame rate of up to 30 frames/second, and represents a performance breakthrough that revolutionizes video surveillance systems that were built for analog VHS. It provides a single box solution for video transmission over any data network including local and wide area networks and even over the Internet. Connecting directly to any 10/100 Mbps Ethernet networks, it enables any computer to view live video images through the http interface without the hassles normally associated with digital video transmission.

The 4 Channel video server can be installed in an instant – simply connect the video sources, attach the video server to a network, assign it a network address and it is networked. The only viewing software needed is Microsoft Internet Explorer which is available on any Windows Platform.

4 opto-isolated alarm inputs and 1 output relay (max 24V, 0.1 A) supplied on terminal block connectors. Event-trigged actions for remote image storage via File Transfer Protocol (FTP) or E-mail (SMTP), pre/post alarm image storage.

Up to 8 MByte memory available for pre/post alarm image storage.

9 pin D-SUB RS-232 max 230 Kbps. 9 pin D-SUB RS-232 or RS-485/422 max 38.4 Kbps, half duplex.

PTZ support for remote camera control. Currently supported units and protocols include: Pelco (Digital Coaxitron),Videmech(UOCP), Ernitech ICU 51PA, Sony EVIG20/ 21, EVI-D30/31 and Canon VC-C3. Future support for other PTZ units will be added.

User level password protection.
