ASL Intercom Systems ASL offers high quality communication products for theatre, broadcast, live event production and industrial applications. Their beginnings were as a part of a large concert tour rental company. When they were not completely satisfied with the existing intercom offerings of the time, they designed and built their own, adding improvements and features. Others in the industry became aware of the products and asked to get some. Hence the birth of ASL. ASL continues to refine and develop products at their facility in the Netherlands with some exciting new releases due later in the year.
ASL's product offerings include intercom systems, headsets, beltpacks, main stations, remote speaker stations, power supplies, theatre cue light systems, direct boxes, transformer boxes, XLR cables and line splitters.
ASL products offer a great mix of features as well as some unique products. All beltpacks, remote and main stations feature both audible and visual call signaling as well as electret or dynamic mic headset capability (auto-sensing). The power supplies put out 30 volts DC and offer the highest peak current capacity in the industry. This becomes important when working with large systems or long cable runs. Desktop remote stations offer 1, 2, 4,or 6 channels with simultaneous access to any or all channels. They can also be rack mounted and come with a choice of gooseneck or surface mount mic. The headset connectors are 4-pin female XLR, so are ready to plug into other popular brands' stations. Most importantly though, the systems are dependable and sound great. ASL intercom products are compatible with most other two-wire unbalanced intercom systems.
The ASL Theatre Cue Light system-a visual only signaling system that is extremely cost effective for situations where audio communication is either not practical or not required. It can also be used in conjunction with an intercom system to help insure that critical cues are not missed.
